Creating a path

to wellness...

Clearview Counseling Services, Inc. in Richmond, VA recognizes the growing need to assist individuals in establishing and maintaining or rebuilding safe and healthy relationships.

Most individuals experience emotional or behavioral problems at some point in their lives. Oftentimes, these issues are temporary challenges that can be addressed with the help and support of family, friends, teachers, and other trusted adults.

In some cases however, problems become intensified due to personal crisis, economic hardship, and mental health and/or communication issues. This ultimately places considerable strains on the family relationship, detracts from a happy and healthy routine, and manifests as problems in the home, community, and/or school setting.

When these such problems continue without marked improvement, it is time to seek the expertise and experience that only a well-trained and understanding professional can provide. Our Mental Health Skill-Building Service program provides services to individuals age 21 and older.

At Clearview Counseling Services, Inc., we offer comprehensive family-focused and community-based services to individuals and families in their homes and communities. The primary focus of our program is to provide individuals with the tools necessary to effectively identify, understand, and solve problems appropriately.

We are committed to granting each participant with an opportunity to reach their full potential by teaching pro-social behaviors and self-actualization. We will assist each individual in achieving emotional stability, behavioral control, and academic skills and tools for a successful transition to society, if applicable. Each individual will become capable of identifying and understanding self-value. This will ultimately strengthen the dynamics and interactions within the home environment.

Mission Statement

It is our mission to promote self-advocacy, emotional stability, and socialization by providing and exposing individuals to support, structure, and discipline. We are committed to continuously helping individuals develop a plan for approaching life with a newfound determination, in spite of the challenges and societal barriers in their life.

To achieve our mission, we match life coaches and individual through a careful assessment process. The licensed mental health professional, along with the qualified mental health professional, ensures supervision and compliance, while the life coaches (Mental Health Support Counselor) focus on necessary interventions for the family.

We offer a unique array of intensive home-based services that attempt to revolutionize traditional mental health psychotherapy to a more tailored, individualized focus of intensive home-based services.

Our services are time-limited, tailored to individual needs, culturally sensitive, and focused on the strengths of the individual and family. They are designed for individuals who demonstrate a clinical necessity arising from a condition due to mental, behavioral, or emotional illness that results in significant functional impairments in major life activities.

Life coaches meet primarily in the home for a maximum of 12 hours per week. Our services here are directed toward treating the individual and keeping the individual within the family, or, if the individual is returning home from an out-of-home placement, to help facilitate that transition.

Furthermore, life coaches may choose to involve the individual in community activities to strengthen their skills, and may engage with the individual’s school on a regular basis.
