Personalized home-based support for children and families in need.

Children and adolescents facing severe emotional and behavioral challenges often need structured, in-home support to maintain stability. Intensive In-Home (IIH) Services provide short-term, goal-directed interventions designed to strengthen family relationships, improve communication, and equip individuals with coping strategies to function effectively at home and in the community. These services are intended for children under 21 who are at risk of being placed in out-of-home care or transitioning back home from a previous placement due to documented mental health needs.

Therapy and skill-building activities focus on promoting emotional regulation, reducing crisis situations, and improving overall family dynamics. To ensure long-term success, at least one parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult must actively participate in the treatment process.

Our core training areas include:

  • Individual and family counseling to support emotional growth, strengthen relationships, and encourage positive behavioral changes.
  • Skill-building sessions that enhance communication, problem-solving, anger management, and social interaction for both the child and guardian/s.
  • Transitional support to assist individuals returning from out-of-home placements when more intensive services are needed for a smooth and stable reintegration. Participation from the child/adolescent and guardian/s is required to ensure a successful transition.
  • Service coordination to connect families with additional resources and ensure comprehensive, continuous care.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, children and adolescents must demonstrate the ability to engage in therapy and benefit from structured intervention. These services focus on rehabilitation and enhancing emotional and behavioral stability.

  • Demonstrates cognitive difficulties that impair awareness of personal safety or significantly affect social interactions, increasing the risk of placement outside the home.
